Tibor Szekfü

Tibor Szekfü has a Bachelor of Engineering and a Diploma in Finance. President of the Hungarian Microfinance Network and President of the Veszprém County Business Development Foundation, as well as Managing Director of the Székesfehérvár City Regional Business Promotion Foundation (also known as Fejér Business Agency) since 2009. In 2011, the Foundation won the Investiment and Innovation in Microfinance Europe Award in the category of Innovative Use of Technology. He has participated in the development of the European Code of Good Conduct for the Provision of Microcredits as a professional consultant. He played an important role in the development of professional guidelines (Budapest 2013; Rome 2016) issued by national microfinance networks (IPFI, MicroFiNET) that link microfinance institutions. He has developed and implemented international programs to exchange professional experiences. The most significant of these is the project called Access to microfinance for small and medium-sized enterprises (ATM for SMEs Interreg Europe).Partly related to this programme, he has launched international websites (www.microfinancegoodpracices.com and www.microfinancecommunity.com), which share good microcredit practices internationally.
